A pair of solid walnut slat-back chairs, each with shaped crest rail dipped in the centre and centering an inverted scallop shell; the uprights with an incised line at the edge and chamfered at the back; over-upholstered seat supported on cabriole front legs ending in pad feet and united by a flattened H-shaped serpentine stretcher, typical of Irish chairs from the period.
