George II burr wood tea caddy, which retains the original handle and keyhole escutcheon, and opens to reveal a compartmented interior.

This epitomizes what one wants to see in furniture from this period: color and grain, deeply warm patination.  A great example of survival from this period, showing every evidence of regular polishing, and loving care over the centuries.
