With a rectangular upholstered canted back flanked by curved padded arms with scrolled hand grips and with acanthus leaf-carved supports above a flared rectangular over upholstered seat, on vigorously carved cabriole legs with leafy knees terminating in pad feet.

Of particular note is the boldness of the carving throughout, the superior quality of the carving, especially the knees on the front legs. The walnut is a warm mellow color; the four cabriole legs and the original leather casters are additional features which appeal and place this chair above the norm.
